Is Koffee free?
Yes. Koffee is free and has no ads. After your tenth logged brew, a one-time note offers a way to chip in. It’s optional.
Do I need an account?
No. You can scan bags and browse the map without one. An account saves what you’ve tried and keeps it in sync across devices.
What if my bag isn’t recognised?
Koffee tries the barcode first, then reads the label. If that still doesn’t work, send the bag in from the Contribute screen. Submissions are reviewed before anyone else sees them.
What do the lobes mean?
Each coffee is scored on acidity, sweetness, bitterness, body and fruitiness, from 0 to 10. A bigger lobe means a stronger taste, and the word on it says what that tastes like.
Which phones does it run on?
Android today. The iPhone version is still in progress, and the App Store button here goes live the day it ships.
